Former TV journalist who retrained as a medic, Dr Rachel Clarke, is the author of best-selling Your Life in My Hands. Her latest book is Dear Life – a doctor’s story of love and loss.
Rachel will be in conversation with Dr Natasha Wiggins, a palliative medicine consultant at Swindon’s Great Western Hospital.

Life on Earth is ruled by our nearest star, our sun. It drives our weather, forms our landscape, helps feed us, but sometimes destroys life too. It also makes chemicals in the skin that cheer up those who bask in its rays, and for the ancients, our sun was the seat of divine authority.
Given the role of the sun’s rays in health, in happiness, in food, in water, in the shape of the world around us, and in our very existence, its behaviour in the next few decades should become a topic of almost as much interest to men and women as it has long been to snails.
